Self love, joy, laughter

You are never going to catch me saying that the diversity of human emotions are a bad thing.

Nope.

I thinks tears are awesome. I think sadness is, well it's okay. It has a valid point to make, a story to tell.

Look, here see? I even made a photo series about it.

A. Because that's interesting & fun for me.
B. Because I wanted to engage people in examining their ideas around tears & vulnerability.

People who have been working on themselves for years though can sometimes get caught up in thinking we shouldn't interact with "negative" emotions.

There's a tendency to see it as a form of suffering that we need to surpass.

Hmm.

Well I LOVE to laugh, of course - I see the value of it. I love the sense of freedom that it gifts me with and I love that I am able to feel joy simply through the profound yet simple mechanism of laughter.

After all that's why I'm launching the Creative Laughter Lab - a Play Group for Introvert with Big Dreams.

(Ooo look at me go all Caps Lock on yer!)

But I also see sadness, or grief & all those nuances of being human -  as an innate part of human nature & a potentially humungus gift.

We are after all here to have a feeling experience & would surely not have been gifted with a diverse range of human emotions if they were somehow inherently wrong.

So what's right about sadness? What's right about our vulnerability that we so often fail to see in ourselves or others?

In any case, here is my permission slip to FEEL - to feel whatever it is you are feeling.

To feel whatever you feel without judging yourself & without judging the emotions as inherently good or bad.

After all - it is just energy desiring to express itself.

Thas all folks! Hope this resonates & if not - please disgard & trust your gut, your truth, your wisdom.
